RJ eats my socks. Getting dressed is too hard.

I was talking with triangle_girl this morning…

Triangle_Girl: I’m going to be going on an organizational shopping spree. I think I’m going to get a closet organizer thingy and maybe a clothes hamper. Whee! Exciting.
Nahgems: Whee, indeed. I need a clothes hamper too. Badly. Then maybe RJ will stop eating all my dirty socks.
Triangle_Girl: Yeah, and then I need to start putting my clothes in the hamper.
Nahgems: That is more difficult.
Triangle_Girl: I’ve decided that as a method to get my laundry habits under control I am going to plan what I am wearing and wear the same thing each week and do laundry on Sundays. That is crazy. And I know it, but I like the idea of never having to think again about what I wear until the weather changes.
Nahgems: You might try a 5 or 8 day cycle. Otherwise people at regularly scheduled weekly activities might notice that you are wearing the same thing every time you see them. Of course that is more complicated. Then you aren’t doing laundry on the same day each week…

I’m thinking that perhaps triangle_girl has the right idea. This may be one of the reasons that OkCupid feels both triangle_girl and I are “less spontaneous”. But some days even getting dressed in the morning seems complicated. And it would probably be nice if my socks occasionally matched (of course, RJ would have to stop eating them for this to ever happen). And I can definitely see how a schedule would simplify things. I think I am going to adopt TG’s clothing strategy.

So, for those of you who only see me in regularly scheduled intervals, I apologize. I promise that I do own more than one set of clothing. But honestly, if you notice and care what I am wearing, then I probably don’t really like you. And you probably aren’t really my friend anyways. Or something like that.
