Please adopt the horniest dog in the world…

Tango

In April, someone contacted me about a pit bull they had found starving and wandering on the highway. I work with dog rescue. Apparently, I have become the “crazy dog lady” that people call in situations like this. Rochester Animal Services has a policy that they euthanize all pit bulls that come into the shelter. If they took him to Animal control, he would have been killed. I couldn’t let him be euthanized, he was a really sweet dog. So I took him in. At that point, I estimated he was 7 – 8 months old. He is very friendly (too friendly).

The problem is, he is driving my (spayed) female dog crazy. He is quite possibly the horniest dog in the world. I spent $90 to get all of his shots, and another $90 to have him neutered. I was hoping that once he was neutered, he would stop humping my poor old German Shepherd girl. He hasn’t. She has started snarling at him. She does *not* like him. She wants him out of my house. I have to keep them separated, or she will bite his face off. She *really* doesn’t like him.

Free dogs often end up getting adopted by dog fighters for bait (or fighting), so there is a small adoption fee to ensure a responsible home. Usually this isn’t a problem. The adoption fee is less than what the local animal shelters charge, and he has had more vet care. I posted him on Craigslist three times, but he isn’t a “cute puppy” anymore. He is a dark colored 10 month old male pit bull. Aparently no one (sane) wants a dark-brindle adult male pit bull. He is driving Miss Nadia *crazy*. He needs to be out of my house. Seriously. He is adorable. And sweet. And loving. He likes other dogs. In fact, he really likes other dogs. Doesn’t anyone want a really sweet, but horny pit bull? Most of my foster dogs go really quickly, but no one seems to want “Tango”…

2005 Stella Banner

Oh, and for those of you who have read the previous posts, I’m sure you have been dying of curiousity. I decided to get the Atomic Fireball Stella. I’m sure no one is really shocked. Perhaps OkCupid is right. I really am “less thrifty” than average.
